Early Childhood Literacy Specialist
Not all students shine in the classroom. Some don’t even glimmer. That is a crime, and something that I personally experienced as a child.
All too often, schools and classrooms are prepared to teach those students who naturally excel. Others, with very creative minds, different learning styles and unconventional organizational strategies, at best struggle and at worst disengage. There is no reason for any child to feel defeated in school.
As an educator with over 25 years experience in Early Childhood Education, I have identified strategies and interventions that encourage student success and are easily integrated into most classroom settings.
The services offered bring the joy of learning and teaching into homes and classrooms. By integrating music, storytelling, art, and relationship into the teaching of literacy skills, teachers, students and parents report that their child’s confidence, engagement, and skills improve quickly.
“…The development of the children is nothing short of a miracle and her ability to motivate and excite her students is incredible…I give Anita my highest recommendation…” Ellen Punyon, Principal, Wing Luke Elementary, Seattle Public Schools
